Why detox is important!

It’s always a good time to detox!  A detox rests our digestive system, allow toxins to be removed, nourishes our body and rejuvenates our energy levels.  A healthy body that eats natural foods and has a normal metabolism, needs around 4 hours to detoxify itself from the waste products and to cleanse the system.  Imagine how hard your body has to work when you then add the toxic overload of modern life!  This is where a detox program has the greatest effect.

Detox FAQ's

Fermented veggies can be of great assistance to detoxification, because they contain helpful bacteria to bring gut ora back into balance. Better balance means better digestion, more complete and efficient removal of toxins and, with all of that, better nutrient absorption too.

Kombucha helps re-balance proper gut bacteria and this aids digestion, nutrient absorption and overall metabolism. When our body can function at its best it is more effective in fat burning.

Keep it simple, clean and healthy.  Eat gluten free bread only. No cereal. No dairy.  Some suggestions – 1. Toasted Gluten free bread with egg, baby spinach and avocado. 2. Porridge (not instant and no sugar) 3. Try a coconut yogurt which is dairy free. 4. 1-2 pieces of Fruit (only eat fruit in the morning). 5. Omelettes 6. Smoothies with rice or almond milk – add berries, banana, kale and chia seeds.
